I’ll always remember when 3 of my friends and I lifted and turned a 4th friend’s Geo Metro (his name is Geoff and we called him G-off to differentiate him from the other Jeff). We set it down parked sideways with two other cars inches in front and behind the Geo (H pattern). The owners of the other vehicles were mysteriously absent when poor G-off came out of the locker room to go home.

There was a guy in my old neighborhood with a pristine Metro vert, which he babied. You would see him detailing it in his driveway every weekend.

Fun fact: that’s still legal per the FMVSS.

Backup cameras? Mandatory.

Passenger rear view mirror? Not mandatory if you’ve got a rear window and a center rear view mirror . (I wonder if we’ll start seeing automakers taking advantage of that to put a passenger camera in and reduce drag some, even if it creates asymmetry with the real mirror on the driver’s side.)

I've been told it's the worst engine offered, not just of that generation but period. So... Who knows? Haven't driven a 3 since, but I hear many great things about them!
